Employment Opportunities

Gwynedd Friends School offers an educational program rooted in Quaker values to preschool and kindergarten-aged children. Children become independent, reflective, and confident learners, while developing a sense of identity and respect for others in the community. The foundation of our school is the Quaker belief that there is "that of God" in every person. We seek to nurture and celebrate this Light in each one of our students. Our school is committed to helping young children develop a love of learning. We believe that hands-on discovery, the exploration of the natural world, and nurturing a caring awareness of the broader community are important tasks for the young child.

For the 2017-18 school year, Gwynedd Friends School is seeking candidates who are passionate about working with young children in a play-based program. Our teachers help students become confident learners, model peaceful conflict resolution, and promote a sense of belonging in the wider community. An understanding of and appreciation for Quakerism and early childhood pedagogy are important to our work as educators at Gwynedd Friends School. We are looking for creative, organized, patient and nurturing candidates. Lead teachers must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood or elementary education and have experience working with young children. Assistant teachers must have at least 2 years of experience working with young children and/or possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood or elementary education.

We currently do not have any available job opportunities for the 2017-18 School Year.

Gwynedd Friends School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation in the employment of staff.
