Paige Menton
Paige earned a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature from Brown University, a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s in environmental education from Arcadia. Prior to having children, she taught third grade in Spring-Ford Area School District. She also worked on qualitative educational research at Research for Action in Philadelphia.
When her children were very little, Paige was on the founding board of Pennypack Farm in Horsham and developed the first educational programming there. Since then, she has taught writing workshops to all ages and high school English to homeschooled children, created and taught a gardening program for summer campers at Flourtown Swim Club, written two books, and founded Journeywork, an organization that helps people replace lawn with native plants.
Paige and her family are members of Plymouth Friends Meeting, and they are the caretakers at Gwynedd Friends. Paige takes care of all the gardens on the grounds and is delighted to plant, water, and harvest in the community garden with the students at Gwynedd Friends
